We Are Always in His Hands

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.  My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”- John 10:27-29

I don’t know about you but this is a text that I need to read/hear often, because Satan, the world and my mind seek to undercut the truth of this all the time. Three against one are thought to be long odds BUT…when that One is Jesus who has us in His hands …well… victory has been, is and will be ensured…forever.

It should cause great rejoicing and even greater assurance to KNOW that God’s children…that’s us, by the way…can never totally fall from grace. We will wander from time to time in this life, but we, who are His, can never be snatched from His hand. For it was Him who determined before the foundation of the world that we would be adopted into His family through Christ Jesus and it is not in His nature to let us ever go completely. “My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.”

Paul asks then answers this question to our joy, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?…No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom. 8:35-39) Nothing/nor anything (like the word NEVER in the text above) can separate us from the love of God that we have in Christ Jesus BECAUSE…wait for it… nothing can separate the love the Father has for the Son. “I and the Father are one.”

So “since” we hear His voice in His Word and through His people, we can be assured that He knows us.  This is an intimate knowledge like that between a husband and a wife. He knows us so well that He has counted every hair on our head (for those who have any! LOL!). He knows us and loves us with a steadfast love because He is both Just and the Justifier. With this being true, why wouldn’t we NEED to follow Him?

The principle that we need to key in on this morning and every morning in this fallen world is this: “I(Jesus) give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.  My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” That is why He is worthy of all praise , honor and glory! He leaves none of His own behind…and we are always in His hands!

God Bless y’all today!
